Pretty classic ballgame on Sunday Night Baseball to close out Father’s Day Weekend on ESPN. The Dodgers trailed 2-1, with the best player in the world and the best pitcher in the world on display.
And then Cody Bellinger tagged Jose Quintana to tie the ballgame 2-2.
After Bellinger’s 23rd of the season, which was pretty ho-hum; the Dodgers got a single from Russ Martin in the bottom of the 8th for the 3-2 lead. Chris Taylor had a slide that ripped his face open and bloodied it.
Kenley Jansen came in after serious usage the last two nights and delivered a clutch save after the first two men reached base. The Dodgers took 3 of 4 from a really good team.
The Dodgers are going to go to the World Series, you can just feel it.
