Just as it should have went down all along – the Los Angeles Dodgers got their 100th win in their final game at Chavez Ravine in 2019.
Cody Bellinger broke a 1-1 tie with a grand slam. The home run was his 46th of the season, and it might have clinched him an MVP Award.
Furthermore, Hyun-Jin Ryu got a lot of run because he also homered in the game and allowed just one run. The Dodgers have bigger tests and games that will await, but a 100-win season is no small task. I am hopeful that they get really hot this final week and finish with around 105 or 106 wins and some momentum heading into the playoffs. The bats have to get it going.
