The only guy who was possibly qualified to win National League Rookie of the Year took home the hardware tonight.

Cody Bellinger – our dad’s favorite Dodger, and growing quickly into one of ours – gives the Dodgers yet another Rookie of the Year in their storied history and their second consecutive year having a unanimous selection win the award (Corey Seager in 2016).
Bellinger didn’t get the call up from the minors until almost June; yet he hit 39 home runs, knocked in 97, stole 10 bags, hit .267 and compiled a .933 OPS on the season.
The guy was hitting three and four hole as a 22 year old for a lot of the playoffs. The Dodgers wouldn’t have been where they got to be without him. He’s one of the select few we can’t wait to watch in 2018.
