Dodger Champagne Remains on Ice for at least one more night

Alex Wood was just not *quite* good enough. Allowing three solo home runs, including two to Javier Baez; the Dodgers were not meant to clinch their first World Series appearance since 1988 on this night.

Jake Arrieta was very good in this game. The Cubs went Arrieta to Duensing to Wade Davis; and Davis was asked to get the final six outs and ended up gassing himself. The Dodgers put up a valiant fight, but couldn’t overcome.

And look at Justin Turner’s monster bomb off Wade Davis in the 8th to make it a 3-2 game:

Tomorrow night has Clayton Kershaw going to try to send the Dodgers to the World Series. And for some reason, the Dodgers fans are nervous. The Cubs suddenly have slight signs of life, and it feels like until they’re dead and this is over, they’re very much alive.

If the Dodgers can wrap this up and advance in the next four games; they are feeling like they might get Corey Seager back for the World Series.

The Dodgers need to win another game.
