10 Years ago today we lost those Glasses

Everyone has a Harry Caray story. It’s hard to believe that 10 years ago today we lost the great legend of broadcasting heard so many afternoons on WGN. Caray was one of those sports figures you didn’t just want to go on doing his thing forever, you expected him to because of his larger-than-life personality.

My memories of Caray would have been all those sick days my mom would cart me over to my grandmothers who had cable. Around 2:00, I’d have some baseball to watch and flip it over to WGN. Harry was the voice of those bland cubs.

You know he’s missed as much as any sports figure that has ever been lost. So very hard to believe it’s been a decade.
