Vlad Jr. Takes on Yankees Thursday on MLB Network

Due to the fact he’s hitting a ton – Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has become one of the most captivating watches in all of baseball late in the 2019 season. During the 7:00 hour, I have had Toronto on quite a bit so I don’t miss his plate appearances and development. I want to be able to say I was along for the ride the whole way with Vladdy Jr. on this journey.

Therefore, it’s good news to see that they will play the Yankees on MLB Network’s national game on Thursday night. With the Yankees in contention, MLB Network has quickly become the Yankees network.

So we get Vladito – who had the day off needlessly again Wednesday in Tampa – against Domingo German and the Bronx Bombers.

Luckily, I just have my kids by myself and a chance to take this one in. Good or bad, I’ll give the recap. The Jays have been playing some pesky baseball. Bo Bichette, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Vladdy Jr. make quite a trio at the top of the Toronto lineup.

Sure, they have no pitching and it will be a few years before they’re competitive. But even in a donnybrook blowout, it’s worth seeing Guerrero Jr. getting some hacks against a premiere team like the Yankees. Kudos to MLB Network for finding a way to get the brightest young start in the AL on national television from up in Canada at Rogers Center.
