Twins: Byron Buxton Walk-Off Monster Home Run

[Box Score]

It’s possible that Byron Buxton is the best player on the planet right now, and on Sunday in a 10-inning win against the Chicago White Sox that gave the Minnesota Twins an unexpected sweep, he probably provided the highlight of the season.

Buxton homered twice, including one to right field that was not the most impressive shot. Remember, in Minneosta to homer over that high right field wall for a right-handed hitter is no easy feat. That’s a decent power poke.

Still, Buxton had more to show everyone. His sixth home run of the season was off Liam Hendricks and was the longest walk-off home run ever according to Statcast at 467 feet.

If you look at the reaction of the players, it’s a true ‘holy shit’ moment. These are guys that have seen everything in the game of baseball and you can tell they were blown away by it.

The Twins will probably hang around .500, but Buxton has already checked in as an MVP candidate early in this season. This is one of those moments you remember all season long.
