Vladdy Guerrero Goes Off, Fuels Huge Toronto Comeback vs. Tampa

[Box Score]

Finally, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is delivering on some of the promise. While I watched a good portion of this one, I had to leave before the dramatic conclusion. The Blue Jays were down 8-2 to the Rays when I left, and Guerrero had a double to his tally.

Trailing 9-5 in the ninth inning, Guerrero hit his 10th home run of the season. I think this is his prettiest home run to date, but you be the judge.

Alas, that cut the deficit to 9-8. Then, Brandon Drury hit one to tie the game 9-9.

Things remained even until the 12th inning when Teoscar Hernandez sent the team from Ontario home a winner 10-9, coming all the way back.

Young Lourdes Gurriel Jr. added three hits to his total, he’s locked down the three hole pretty well for Toronto.
