In case you haven’t heard, Jeff Kent and his porn stache are finished with the game of baseball. Today, Keny officially decided to call it a career. This ends one of the great offensive runs by a second basement in the history of the game. Kent’s pinnacle was in 2000 when he was the NL MVP in the midst of steroids running rampant throughout the game. From there his miraculous consistency continued.
He never garnered a ton of headlines unless it was for saying Barry Bonds was a dick or reportedly breaking his hand watching his truck. And to be honest, this was one thing about Jeff Kent that was pretty damn refreshing. Second base is a thin enough position in fantasy baseball as is, Jeff. You will be missed.
