Rockies 9, Reds 7

A career night (thus far) from Josh Hamilton could not save the Reds, who lost their 4th straight ballgame 9 to 7 to the Colorado Rockies. Hamilton tripled, doubled, singled twice, stole a base, and scored 4 runs, and came up to the plate twice with a chance to become only the second Red in some 60 years to hit for the cycle but singled in one opportunity, and flew out to deep left field to end the game.

Aaron Harang gave up 5 runs before giving way to the shit-eaters out of the Reds bullpen. Jerry Narron looked like he was ready to go home, plug his toaster into his bathroom wall, and sit down in the bath tub after last night’s game and I can’t blame him. This team has gone from ‘maybe mediocre’ to just being a below average team very quickly, with the revelation that their bullpen is just no good.
