Luis Robert Homered off a Pitcher Named Packy Naughton

[Box Score]

Way back when, we told you that Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert was going to be the centerpiece on the team that won the World Series. Now, here we are. Another night, another 470-foot blast off his bat into the Chicago night.

This one came off a pitcher named Packy Naughton. Indeed, this is the time of year guys like Packy Naughton throw innings, and superior athletes like La Pantera Luis Robert take advantage. Robert had two more hits in the White Sox 9-4 win against the hapless Angels. Two games ago, he had his second four-hit game of the month.

In other matters, the White Sox got back Tim Anderson tonight, so his legs are feeling fresh. It looks as things head towards the final bell that the White Sox are getting right at the right time. We still like them to win the whole damn thing, and still think Robert ends up one of the best players in baseball by this time next year. In fact, he’s one of them at the current moment.
