White Sox and Yankees Hook Up for Another Thriller in Chicago

[Box Score]

Yet again, the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees hooked up for a donnybrook between two teams that I believe are good enough to play for the whole thing. Between the Cornfield Classic the other night and this game – evidenced were two heavily armed and solid teams that traded major blows back and forth akin to a heavyweight fight.

Thus, check out Luis Robert’s 2nd home run of 2021. This was a true rocket. Although it’s hard to believe that Robert has just two home runs on the season, his numbers are really solid. He was on base three times in this one.

Robert wasn’t done with his blast early in the game either. In the bottom of the 10th he allowed the White Sox to bring the tying run to scoring position with Tim Anderson at the plate.

However, Anderson would politely bounce out to third base and the White Sox would fall 7-5.

Notably, the White sox bounced Zach Britton from this game in the bottom of the 10th. Remember, Britton said that he wanted nothing to do with being in a closing situation prior to the game.
