Play the Whitesnake! Pete Alonso Has Walked it Off For the Mets

[Box Score]

The New York Mets are rockin’ and having fun at Citi Field in New York. We have seen it before, but Pete Alonso capped a double-dip in the Big Apple with a walk off home run for the ages. Check out the air he gets on this one folks.

In all, it was Alonso’s 25th home run of the season. While he collected three hits on the afternoon and stole a bag in the twinbill for the third time this season, Alonso is hitting .253 with 65 RBI. Still, he’s been a dependable anchor in the middle of a banged up lineup. If New York makes the playoffs, Alonso is probably the team MVP.

The Mets are in a fierce race right now with Atlanta and Philadelphia in a division that should be all theirs.

We still love Pete Alonso, we will always love Met, Pete Alonso. He’s hit 94 big league dingers in his career. We feel like there are a lot more to come throughout his prime years. This one, this one goes down as a memorable one.
