Blue Jays: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Homers for Third Straight Game

[Box Score]

Perhaps you will hear about Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s Sunday home run that went 465 feet because it was the new longest of his career. The blast was his 11th of the season, and the Blue Jays won a series against the Phillies at home to go to 22-17 on the year.

In this game, Guerrero Jr. had three hits including the bomb, a double to right field, and a single. Thus, it was the first time he’s homered in three straight ballgames in his career. Now, he’s hitting .319 on the year with a 1.049 OPS. He’s also got an even 30 RBI to go with everything else he’s got going well for him.

Bo Bichette and Marcus Semien also homered in this game. Robbie Ray struck out nine to compile his second victory of the season.

It was cool seeing the Jays play on a bright Sunday afternoon in the Florida sunshine, albeit different.
