Without question, baseball is amazingly strange and ironic at times. Therefore, it was 23 years ago tonight that Fernando Tatis Sr. hit two home runs in the same inning at Dodger Stadium.
Seriously, how strange is this?

Remember, that 23 is the number Tatis Jr. wears on his back. And so on with the amazing part of this story.
His son would hit two off Clayton Kershaw on Friday evening. They were two of the hardest and longest home runs of his entire career.

The Padres ended up winning this one 6-1. If baseball just continues to market it’s young stars like Tatis Jr., the rest will take care of itself. Finally, is there a place that comes alive with more magic in all of the world than Dodger Stadium late on Friday nights? It’s almost unbelievable some of the memories that have been unlocked there.
This is just one more chapter in the long lucid trip.
