Twins: Byron Buxton Returns With Home Run in Detroit

[Box Score]

Right now, how about what’s going down with Byron Buxton for the Minnesota Twins?

Indeed, he’s returned with the fury at the plate he displayed in 2020, especially in terms of power. Equally important, manager Rocco Baldelli moved Buxton to the three hole in the lineup before he had to leave a game with illness.

Yesterday in Detroit, Buxton came off the bench in a tight game to tie the game with another monster home run to left field.

While the Twins came up short in extra innings, Buxton has three home runs on the season. He’s displaying what an incredible athlete he is. Always known for his speed and defense, he’s added power to his game. The guy can turn on a pitch about as well as anyone in the sport right now.

Of course when this happens, we have to showcase the amazing power somehow.

We thought Buxton had a chance to go 20-40 this season. Even with the baseball being aerodynamically designed to hamper power numbers, we are wondering if he doesn’t flip the script on all of us and post a 40-20 season. Health is the only person stopping this guy from huge things in the Twin Cities.
