Brewers: Christian Yelich Homers For Second Straight Game

[Box Score]

The Milwaukee Brewers aren’t much to look at on paper. Therefore, it’s alright to realize that their star Christian Yelich is struggling because he’s not getting a lot of pitches to hit. That is, unless it’s an 8-1 ballgame and he decides to leave out the backdoor at Miller Park in Milwaukee.

And I love this caption from the Brewers official twitter account commemorating Yelich’s third home run of the season.

In the end, the Brewers lost to Trevor Bauer and the Reds 8-3. In fact, it was 6-0 before the Brewers even really blinked. I overestimated what this collection of rusty toys could accomplish perhaps.

Still, I expect Yelich to feel his way back to respectability over the next month or so and finish with solid numbers in this abbreviated, perversion of a season that is MLB in 2020.
