Ozuna will be looked to as a guy who helps replace Josh Donaldson. The general manager Alex Anthopoulos thinks Ozuna was unlucky in 2019.
“He ran into some bad luck last year. We think there’s a lot more in there. We think he can rebound to the season he had with the Marlins in 2017.”
The 29-year old hit .263 with 52 homers and a .779 OPS for the Cardinals over the past two seasons. He will play left field for the Braves, and certainly seems to be an imposing force in a lineup that already includes Ronald Acuña Jr. and Freddie Freeman among some others.
With a bolstered bullpen, and a team that got beat by the gadget Cardinals in a five-game series in the 2019 NLDS; Atlanta seems to be a team that could represent the NL in the World Series in 2020. They will definitely be able to knock down some fences.
