The Boston Red Sox and manager Alex Cora have mutually agreed to part ways. Peter Gammons is on MLB Network as I type this and talking about ‘Cora going home and enjoying family life’ and raising his daughter. The news broke early Tuesday evening.
Here is the official statement from the Boston Red Sox:

Gammons mentions Jason Varitek as a possible future managerial candidate for the Red Sox.
For Cora, he wins the one tainted 2018 title against the Los Angeles Dodgers when it seemed he was just a move ahead of Dave Roberts all series long. Now we know why. I’m not sure what his final legacy on the game will be, but it’s not going to be a great one.
