Minnesota Twins Bring Back Powder Blue Uniforms for 2020 Season

Thus far in the MLB off-season, uniform news has been active. Now the Minnesota Twins are the latest team to join the trend.

On Monday, the Minnesota Twins unveiled a baby blue alternate uniform for the 2020 campaign. Furthermore, the team released a tweet to announce this exciting news.

This set is designed to replicate the Twins road uniform worn from the 1973 through 1986 seasons. Also, the 2020 alternate will feature baby blue tops and pants, paired with the team’s standard navy blue cap. The team says that this set can be worn both as a home and road uniform. Although, it’s likely you will see this most worn in front of the home crowd at Target Field.

Of course, the team had a statement about the hoopla; which should drive home some sales at their team shop.

“No uniform in the history of Minnesota Twins baseball drives more fan engagement than the old-school baby blues,” Twins President and CEO Dave St. Peter said. “With that popularity in mind, we are excited to bring this uniform back as part of our 60th Season Celebration. It’s going to be fun to watch the 2020 Twins wearing the same look as Twins legends from the 1970s and 1980s.”

Finally, the Twins have a team worthy of some attention in the present. This move that pays tribute to greats from the Rod Carew and Bert Blyleven era should get people talking, and most important; buying.
