So, not much going lately for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to end the 2019 season. He’s battled a few injuries – and he’s getting to the end here just fine. He’s compiled a decent little stat line in the middle of a somewhat formidable Toronto lineup.
However, he hasn’t homered since August 22nd. Still, he got two hits Friday night in a big Jays upset over the Yankees in the Bronx. Here’s an RBI knock he had when Gleyber Torres couldn’t come up with the ball cleanly.
And Vladdy Jr. had another knock on Saturday in a loss to James Paxton and the Bombers. While just going 1 for 4, he has 123 hits on the season. It’s going to be a long winter, but 2020 will be a blast for the big slugger.
With just a week to go, hopefully he goes deep again. I am really excited about a possible trip to Toronto in 2020 to get Rogers Center crossed off my list.
Of course, then there’s this. Vladdy Jr. admitted he never works out.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. admitted to me: “I’ve never worked out at the gym before, I’ve never lifted weights before.” That, he says, will change this off-season, where he insists “my priority is definitely playing third.” Here's the full story, as we just shared on the broadcast — pic.twitter.com/li3q5YyZIY

This might be something he wants to go ahead and pick up in the offseason.
