I watched the entire game last night as the Blue Jays hung on for a 3-1 win in what was billed as Josh Donaldson’s Toronto return.
The Blue Jays pulled off a shocking upset with a multiple-hit game from Vlad Guerrero Jr. and a home run from Justin Smoak. Mike Soroka was solid but left trailing 2-0. This was like the first time in something insane like 16 starts that he had been beaten at night.
Cavan Biggio and Reese Mcguire had two hits each as well.
Vladdy Jr. played in his 100th career game, and he was rock solid. He got two more hits, and now has 104 on his career. His OPS sits at .822, and his average at .280. This was the knock he got off Mike Soroka to give the Jays a 2-0 lead.
Thank you for bringing the rain, JD!

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. with another two-hit performance tonight. He is batting .366 (45-for-123) over his last 33 games. Lots of power numbers in there too, he's one the type of run everyone expected he was capable of. #BlueJays
