It’s always cool when a player hits a ball in the stadium where it wasn’t designed to be hit. On Saturday in Houston, Astros’ slugger Yordan Alvarez hit the damn scoreboard in right field during batting practice.
The Astros felt it was worthy of creating a graphic for. Such is baseball in the year 2019. This was not done when Mark McGwire hit one off the Budweiser sign at Jacobs Field in Cleveland.

Furthermore, Alvarez is a fucking monster. For all the intrigue in Houston; be it Carlos Correa, or George Springer, or Alex Bregman, or Jose Altuve. Alvarez is probably going to end up the greatest offensive force of them all, and perhaps the most entertaining. This guy will go out and hit forever it feels like, with tons of power.
