Dodgers Lose Series in Atlanta, Cody Bellinger hits 42nd Home Run

[Box Score]

Cody Bellinger hit his 42nd home run of the season. However, the Dodgers lost this game 5-3 and the series in Atlanta on Sunday.

Still, Bellinger kept rolling. While it was his only hit of the day – he now leads baseball once again with 42 home runs and is climbing towards 100 RBI. Finally, he’s now surpassed 8.0 bWAR on the season which is a tremendous season.

It came off lefty Max Fried. After an off day, the Dodgers welcome the Toronto Blue Jays to Los Angeles for a little three-game set.

Bellinger just has to keep going to finish off this year and win the MVP award. He has an outside shot at 50 home runs, which is a special benchmark in any player’s career.

Rafael Ortega won the game for Atlanta when he homered off Dustin May. Ortega was only in the game because Ronald Acuña Jr. didn’t hustle and was pulled by Brian Snitker.
