It was a special night to be a baseball fan. One of the more memorable watches of the year and nights of the year to be a baseball fan. It reminded me a lot of when Bryce Harper came out for his first MLB game in Los Angeles.
Blue Jays won it 4-2 in the bottom of the ninth. The season was still young. I came away very impressed. I knew that this guy was going to be one of my favorites to watch for a long time, and the lead up to the game was really cool the way MLB marketed the kid.
Even on MLB Network Radio, it was wall-to-wall Vladdy Jr.
Baseball should push their young stars like this all of the time, although I get it; you can’t do this with every prospect. Lastly, it’s great to see Canada have this type of prospect. The Blue Jays are abysmal, but for the first time since I was a kid; I leave them on the television if they’re on and even seek them out a little bit.
