The Minnesota Twins Hang 18 in Seattle
Byron Buxton and the Minnesota Twins are quietly a nice little story. Of course – Buxton is the nine-hole hitter who is plugging along and doing his job to the tune of an almost 2.0 bWAR season already.
On Saturday night in Seattle, he hit his first grand slam since 2016. Buxton’s five RBI on the night were just a footnote in the 18 runs that Minnesota scored.
The Twins are up to 30 wins on the season, second in the American League behind only the Houston Astros who have won 10 in a row.
The Twinkies are a great story right now. Also, Miguel Sano hit his first home run of the season. If you love baseball, how can you not love the damn Twins and Rocco Baldelli?
