The other night, the Angels season ended in that they were eliminated from the playoffs. The Angels and Mike Trout sure didn’t act like a team with nothing to play for on Friday night to open up their final series of the year at home against the Seattle Mariners.
It was hardly an obituary on the Angels hard fought season. Trailing 5-2 in the bottom of the 8th, Mike Trout kicked off things with a home run. He had earlier in the game opened scoring with a solo shot. The home runs were Trout’s 200th and 201st of his career.
Mike Trout, playing hard until the end; still catching greatness night over night while everyone’s attention is elsewhere. Trout has 33 home runs on the season.
