Headed to Los Angeles, to complete my bucket list

I have long talked about my desire to get to Los Angeles and Dodger Stadium. Since I was a little kid in 1991 watching Darryl Strawberry out there in the late games and listening to Vin Scully until I was a grown man, it’s totally enchanted me and I’ve been infatuated with it.

By the time the sun rises tomorrow (God willing), I will be in Los Angeles. I’m going to try to do it all, and day by day, I’ll put my baseball stuff on this blog along with everything I want to see in the most amazing big city in the world.

I plan to see two Dodgers games at Chavez Ravine (one day, one night). I’m going to do a tour of the stadium. Hollywood Walk of Fame, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, hiking Runyon Canyon. I’m going to drive down to Compton or South Central and see the Boyz n the Hood house. I’m going to get a lot of stuff up on the blog.

And hopefully I arrive back here in the Midwest next weekend with one great story or two to tell. I’ll tell it all here. I have a feeling I’m not going to want to leave.
