Sports Illustrated also did a Boston Red Sox Cover

So we noticed this one today too; Sports Illustrated actually did three covers as part of it’s Baseball Preview issue that hit shelves this week. This cover features the three outfielders of the Boston Red Sox: Mookie Betts, Andrew Benintendi, and Jackie Bradley Jr.

We mention this because we’re going to be changing things up and writing a lot about the Boston Red Sox this season.

Part of it is because they are our MLB The Show team. Part of it because they’ve earned it – they should be one of the best watches in all of baseball this season.

We couldn’t possibly cover the BoSox as well as a blog like The Joy of Sox does. If you want to read good Red Sox content day in and day out, that’s where you should be heading. But we’re going to give the 2017 Red Sox their run on the blog. Let’s see if they let us down, or do their part.

Once we cross Dodger Stadium off our list this summer, Fenway moves into prime position as our last true ‘Bucket List’ park that we have to see. We’ve never really given Fenway it’s due as the grandaddy of them all; because we’ve been so focused on getting to Chavez Ravine. But the truth of the matter is in terms of American League parks, and other than Dodger Stadium, it really is the grandaddy of them all. There’s no better place to watch a game.

Long story short, good to see Sports Illustrated diversifying it’s cover with the likes of one of the most intriguing young outfields in the big leagues. Anything involving Mookie Betts right now is a win.
