Your Saturday Baseball Post

It’s another Saturday, and we’re about to start the World Baseball Classic which is cool, meaningful baseball in March; and we’ve got a full slate of Spring Training games ongoing for the lucky folks in Arizona and Florida that can watch it live and in the flesh. It’s already baseball season in those areas. And there are slight signs of things breaking elsewhere too.

It’s great that we made it through February. It’s the worst month of tall. Soon, the NCAA Basketball conference tournaments will kick off, and then the big tournament which leads us right into Opening Day.

I’m watching the NFL Scouting Combine, and heading to the sectional wrestling tournament here in Ohio. And I’ll take a peak at some box scores and such. I’ll continue to navigate my way through the 2017 team previews. Things will be active on the site, day-to-day.

The song of the week that should be played on a ballpark loudspeaker nearest you is not an 80’s song this week. However, it is an all-time great song. It is A Whiter Shade of Pale by Procul Harem. I have no idea what it’s about despite extensive research. You can try to figure it out, but you will never figure it out. So just get lost in it. I have loved this song for about 20 years.

So go and enjoy your Saturday. It’s the best day of the week and a month from now, we’ll be in the regular season; again, finally. Thank you for your continued support of Diamond Hoggers.
