The Astros are bludgeoning teams to death

The Houston Astros were on FOX Saturday baseball last evening taking on the World Champs. It’s been high time to extract a little revenge.

I didn’t get to see the game because I was at a wedding. The Astros hung nine runs on the Royals in the first inning on Friday evening and won 13-4. Once you click through the jump, you’ll see that George Springer had a triple AND a grand slam in the first inning alone. Then on Saturday with much of the nation watching, they put seven on the board in the second inning and won 13-5.

Here’s Springer’s onslaught in the first inning alone on Friday evening.

Jose Altuve is making a strong case for MVP votes, and this is his 13th home run of the season. It’s a towering homer for the little guy.

This is home run 12 for Carlos Correa, a backside shot.

The Astros are really rolling. They’re 1.5 out of the American League Wildcard spot. They’ve made a season of this and suddenly A.J. Reed is part of the mix.

The Astros are going to be a fun team to watch for the final two thirds of the season despite sleepwalking through the first month or so.
