Baseball is back! We’ve come to the end of Spring Training and the teams are starting to head home for what looks to be a wide up open race this season. With the injuries my fantasy baseball team has been suffering this spring the real games can’t start soon enough. I mean, who tears up their knee removing a shoe?? Be careful eating your cereal this morning Will Smith. Anyways, lets get right to the predictions. Can the Royals repeat as champs or is there another team waiting in the bushes ready to strike?

PLAYOFFS

Wild Card Games:
Tampa Bay over Toronto
LA Dodgers over NY Mets

Division Series:
Cleveland over Tampa Bay
Boston over Houston
Chicago Cubs over LA Dodgers
San Francisco over Washington

ALCS / NLCS:
Boston over Cleveland
San Francisco over Chicago

World Series:
San Francisco Giants over Boston Red Sox
I’m sitting here realizing I don’t like any of the teams in the AL East but there I put one of them in the World Series. I think the Indians SP will be tough to beat in the playoffs but Boston uses its veteran edge to get through the American League. Over in the NL I really love a couple teams. The Cubs are loaded with talent, the Mets have the big starting pitching, Washington will be dangerous with Dusty Baker driving the bus but I’m going to go with the experience of that Giants team to get themselves back to the World Series and ultimately win their 4th title since 2010.

AL Bold Predictions

1. Drew Smyly strikes out 200 batters and has an ERA under 3.00.

2. Two guys go 30/30 (HR/SB), Mookie Betts and George Springer.

3. Maybe not too bold but Justin Upton leads the Tigers in HRs, Runs and SBs.

4. Corey Dickerson has better fantasy year than all the Rockies OFs (Cargo, Blackmon and Parra)

5. Carlos Correa does not disappoint in his second year and has a Trout like season 5×5 season. Let’s say .300-100-32-100-20.

NL Bold Predictions

1. Brandon Belt leads the NL in RBI with 110.

2. Domingo Santana hits more home runs than Bryce Harper, somehow, someway.

3. Marcel Ozuna hits at least 30 HRs and him and Stanton combine for 80.

4. David Peralta wins the NL batting title.

5. Joey Votto has an OBP of .500.
