Your Saturday Baseball Open Thread

This could have just as easily been a picture of a grill with some tasty burgers on it, with a Budweiser and American Flag alongside it. But we’ll go vintage baseball photo on this Saturday.

It’s Memorial Day Saturday. The five mile race was completed this morning over here at the Jersey shore. The beach is open. Summer is here. If your team happens to be in first place (mine is), feel good about it.

There’s some nice action around baseball today and tonight. Stephen Strasburg is on the bump in Atlanta. Jay Bruce is back in the lineup in Cincinnati. Put whatever impressions you want from this Saturday in the comments section.

I’m headed over to Point Pleasant boardwalk to get my hands on those fried Oreos they make. Back tomorrow with some goodies.
