Rockies/Rays highlights this round of Interleague

The crown jewel of all interleague play kicks off tonight in Colorado, with the Tampa Bay Rays traveling to Coors Field. The Colorado Rockies will put their 11-game win steak on the line tonight as both teams are 3 games out of the Wild Card race. Colorado leagues this atypical series 5 games to 4 in the all-time match ups.

We like some things about both of these teams, and we’d really would like to see Tampa Bay get rolling. We don’t like the Red Sox, and there would be nothing better then seeing things in the AL come down to the Yankees and the Rays. What’s not to like about Tampa Bay? They’ve got a good stable of young players who came so close to tasting victory last year but fell short. They’re the model of every little team in America; and that window of theirs won’t last for eternity. They’ve got to get hot now because the future is now. That’s how these things work. You can’t put dreams on hold too long or they move on type of thing. The Rays are just five games out now. This is make or break time to find out what kind of club this is.

As for the Rockies, their season is hardly over. They’ve won 11 games in a row under new manager Jim Tracy and they just keep rolling and defying all odds. This series is pivotal for whoever can take 2 of 3 or sweep. Something has to give at Coors and we’re probably going to see a big amount of offense in this 3 game set.
