Tigers open Comerica with a thrashing of Rangers

You were warned that the Detroit Tigers were going to hit this season. Today they took it to the team who were thought to have perhaps the best lineup in baseball, at least in the opening week it looked that way.

Miguel Cabrera hit a grand slam home run and drove in six with three hits on the day. Chris Benson started his first game since the 2006 season and gave up 10 hits, 7 earned runs and was generally crashed around the waves for 5 innings. We knew we should have bet the OVER 9.5 in this game. Every Detroit hitter except Carlos Guillen had a hit in this game.

In the Motor City they’re going to score some runs this season. Armando Galaragga went 7 innings allowing only one run.
