You’ll have to forgive us for being sporadic the next few days. We’ll do our best to keep up with the season previews but if we are irregular, understand that it’s due to this being one of the best sports weekends out of the year.

We’ve long and often said that March Madness is the appetizer for the main course that is Opening Day and baseball season. This weekend reminds us of so many great and memorable times in our life that it occurred before. College spring break. Hell week for our fraternity. Gathering at a buddies house in high school before any of us could drive to watch the 99 Ohio State Buckeyes.

And that voice you hear is a much, much younger Vern Lundquist. That chubby little bacon fucker. And we say that Oklahoma or Syracuse goes to the Final Four and not Carolina.
