Blue Jays: Toronto Wins Again, Guerrero Jr. Homers off Aroldis Chapman

[Box Score]

Right now people are going to begin saying break up the Blue Jays. On Wednesday night they got all the bounces seemingly again in the Bronx en route to their third straight win over the New York Yankees.

Now the Blue Jays have won 9 of 10 and have pulled within a game and a half of the wildcard spot. Equally important, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit his 41st home run of the season off Aroldis Chapman. He’s hitting .320 with a 1.016 OPS.

Recall this at-bat his rookie year against Chapman where he battled like a lion but lost the battle. This allows one to see how far that Guerrero Jr. has come as a hitter.

Alek Manoah nearly provided a quality start and Jordan Romano got his 16th save. Currently this is the team to watch in all of baseball in terms of what they can provide in terms of excitement. They’re taking it to teams that are on fire and Guerrero Jr. continues to add to what’s been a season for the ages in his career.
