Dodgers Win Freeway Series Over Angels Behind Bellinger, Buehler, and Pujols

With the newly armed lineup featuring not just Hall of Famer in waiting Albert Pujols, but now also Trea Turner, the Dodgers got an easy 8-2 win at sunny Chavez Ravine on Sunday over the Anaheim Angels.

Walker Buehler improved to 12-2 on the season by going his usual six innings, striking out eight and allowing just one earned run.

Pujols hit his 14th home run of the season, and 676th of his illustrious career. Especially this one had to feel good, coming against his former team.

Then finally there was Cody Bellinger. Bellinger is having a rough season to say the least. He finished the game hitting .175 with a .591 OPS and .269 on base percentage, he hit his 8th home run of the season and his second in two days.

The home run put an exclamation mark on the day for Los Angeles, with them now sitting at what seems a ho-hum 67-45 on the year. Surely they have some cracks in the foundation, but with Fernando Tatis Jr. out of the lineup for San Diego and the San Francisco Giants probably playing over their heads; the Dodgers seem to have a leg up on the division as the season edges towards the fall.
