Braves: Ronald Acuña Jr. Homers on Sunday Night Baseball

[Box Score]

Traditionally a slow starter, Ronald Acuña Jr. is off to anything but in 2021. One thing we love about Acuña? Undeniably, the guy hits elite pitching as evidenced by the day he got going earlier this week when he hit two home runs off Max Scherzer.

Then on Friday night, he got the Braves off the hook against the Philadelphia Phillies when he homered off a dominant Zach Wheeler. The Braves didn’t look back, and won Friday night and again on Saturday evening.

Finally on Sunday evening, Acuña Jr. tied the game on Sunday Night Baseball with a monster home run to center.

Still, this was hardly the only thing Acuña Jr. did in this game to showcase his generational talent. To open the game, he beat out an infield single to first base with his blazing speed.

However it wasn’t enough. The Braves got hosed a little bit by a Vegas call at the plate which ended up being the deciding run of the game for the Phillies. Without question though – if you watched this game – you either got further confirmation of what the superstar of the Braves can do, or he left you clamoring for even more.
