Padres: Watch Fernando Tatis Jr. Homer for First Time in 2021

You’ve gotta love Fernando Tatis Jr., after all he’s baseball’s new hope for a face of the game that brings something different than Mike Trout. On Easter Sunday, the Arizona Diamondbacks stole their first game of the season from the Padres by a score of 3-1.

However, this one didn’t end without some fireworks from the young cornerstone. Remember when Chris Devenski was the most electric arm in the Houston Astros’ bullpen? Now, Devenski just got his contract picked up from the minor league affiliate. He found himself in a save situation on Sunday with a 3-0 lead. He would have escaped unscathed, but Tatis Jr. had a little bit to say about it. Indeed, he let his bat do the talking; this is an absolute bomb.

It’s important to do a post about these type of events. First off, Tatis Jr. hasn’t hit that many home runs in the big leagues despite signing a record contract. This was just his 40th home run of the season.

Obviously, San Diego thinks there is about 400 more of these to come. Hopefully he gets hot and hits them in bunches for one of the more exciting teams to begin the 2021 season.
