Blue Jays: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Hits First Career Yankee Stadium Homer

[Box Score]

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. at this stage in the game is more ‘fun’ then he is ‘good’. Still, he shows glimpses where you say this guy is going to be able to rake at some juncture. And on Tuesday night in the Bronx, Guerrero kicked off scoring with a backside bomb to right field at Yankee Stadium.

It served as his 7th home run off the year off young Deivi Garcia, and his first ever at Yankee Stadium.

Indeed, the Blue Jays got waxed by a score of 20-6, and Guerrero Jr. proved to be one of the lone bright spots on the night. He had three hits – including a double and the aforementioned home run off Garcia – and scored a couple of runs.

Taijuan Walker wasn’t quite what the Blue Jays ordered, and this was a series all along that you figured the Yankees would get healthy feeding off a young team whilst getting back some of their big name offensive bats.
