Blue Jays: Buffalo Provides Slugfest For Toronto

[Box Score]

Just a day after the Toronto Blue Jays won their ‘home’ opener in Buffalo in exciting fashion, they circled the wagons with some more excitement in Buffalo on Wednesday night.  Without question, it’s clear after two games that Nahlen Field in Buffalo is a hitter’s park. There is a jet stream that if you get the ball in the air, it has a chance to leave the yard.

For instance, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit one to right center that just looked like a pop fly. It was his second home run of hiss sophomore campaign.

In all, the Blue Jays dug out of a 8-0 hole with the long ball to find themselves gridlocked in an 11-11 tie with the Marlins in an affair that would head to extra innings. Bo Bichette collected five hits on the night.

Wearing the powder blues, the Blue Jays homered seven times in Buffalo in a loss that won’t be forgotten for a long time.

On Thursday, the Blue Jays are off. Then on Friday, they welcome the Rays to town. That should be one worth keeping an eye on.
