There was a time where I really liked Carlos Correa – and then when I realized he was a little sketch. Right now, the Houston Astros are exploring a trade of him which was reported by Ken Rosenthal at the Winter Meetings.

While Correa is a superior talent and had some incredible flashes of how special he can be, he’s never really reached the zenith I thought that he would.
I thought this was Alex Rodriguez 2.0, but the guy can’t stay healthy. Still, you get the feeling that Correa thinks he’s worth a $400 million dollar deal. It’s hard to believe that, but I still think back to a few years ago when Correa had to come out and clarify what his agent said.
I don’t think the Astros will trade Correa in the near-term, but certain the honeymoon phase has worn off. And it just goes to show you that no matter how stable and safe a guy seems in a place – unless he’s Mike Trout – there’s a good chance he will end up elsewhere for some reason; at some point.
