This is wild. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. gets the chance to review his end of the season scouting report at MLB.com – and his responses to it are pretty interesting.
Before getting to his scouring report, here’s what Vlad Jr. had to say about his plan to get in shape.
“I’ve definitely been working very hard during the season,” Guerrero said, switching back and forth between answering in English and gleaning some assistance from team interpreter Hector Lebron. “I’ve been doing everything that I’ve been asked to do. And I learned that in order for me to stay up here for 162 games, I need to keep putting in that work and feel really good, especially during the season.”
“No oppo power.”
Before the #BlueJays season came to an end, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. walked through this scouting report on himself with me, talking through his rookie season & where development remains.

A plan has been set to improve his conditioning, reports SportsNet. So what weight number does he need to be at when spring begins? General manager Ross Atkins answers.
“I don’t want to just give you a number, just because he’s 20-years-old,” Atkins said. “It’s not as much about the actual number as it is about his overall body composition and the overall range of motion and the overall strength. But it would be significantly less than what he reported at last year.”
So there you have it.
