Yankees 4, Blue Jays 0

[Box Score]

Baseball on a Friday night at Yankee Stadium is always cool. When it includes Vladimir Guerrero Jr., it’s an added bonus. I watched the Yankees and Jays tonight with my wife and daughter. To be fair, they were only paying half attention.

Domingo German is doing a little bit of a Luis Severino impression. The guy looked overpowering to me – improving to 11-2 on the season. He went six innings, striking out seven, walking none, and allowed just three hits.

Aaron Sanchez went five unspectacular innings. He’s an incredible 3-13 on the year with a 6.22 ERA. You wonder if any team would want him to come eat innings. However – if they’re a contender – you wouldn’t want this guy to contaminate anything.

Ageless Edwin Encarnacion had two knocks and drove in three. The Yankees are good. They’re going to continue to eat against a young team like the Blue Jays, who are managed by stooge Charlie Montoyo.

Vladito went 1-4 on the night with a strikeout and a pop out to end the game. He was thrown out at second base trying to stretch his hit down the line to a double.

The Yankees are 58-31, and the Blue Jays now 34-56. They’ll party again tomorrow at 1:05 PM with Clayton Richard against J.A. Happ.
