Acuña Jr. Leads Off Game In Atlanta With 450-Foot Blast

Ronald Acuña Jr.’s 9th home run of the season was a long one. I didn’t catch it live, but I tuned in for the replay to see what went down and I was not disappointed.

The Braves had won four games in a row. In this one, Christian Yelich hit his 19th home run of the season and the Brewers won 3-2 in 10 innings.

Notably, Freddie Freeman hit his 200th home run of his career. Josh Hader picked up the win in two innings of relief.

In the first 157 games of Acuña’s career:

  • He is a 6.0 bWAR player
  • He is a .290 hitter
  • His OPS is around .900
  • He’s hit 35 home runs

Clearly, the best is yet to come for the 21-year old; and he’s simply scratching the surface. Atlanta has a good thing going down there with the young core – which recently added Austin Riley to the mix.
