Rhys Hoskins Tags a Bad Bull in Jack Flaherty

Rhys Hoskins homered off a really talented pitcher today in St. Louis. Philadelphia came up short, and Odubel Herrera’s on-base streak was snapped at 45 games. There’s good reason for this.

Jack Flaherty is going to be a big-time arm for St. Louis. Consider the following:

Flaherty is a guy that other teams would kill to have in their organization. Arm talent like his do not come around very often. I wondered a lot why the Cardinals delayed putting Flaherty in the rotation to go back to Adam Wainright time and again for a floundering and failed experiment.

The Phillies saw on Sunday that this is not a guy you want to tangle with. He’s going to have a really big year and become a household name in St. Louis this season. Even if Hoskins did dent the scoreboard with a big fly early in the game.
