The Cleveland Indians are dead. The New York Yankees, the Wildcard Sweethearts of the American League overcame all odds and came back from a two games to nothing deficit to defeat the Indians in game give in Cleveland by a score of 5-2.

It didn’t take long for the Yankees to show why the line bit back late with sharp action on New York.

Didi Gregorius turned around a Corey Kluber pitch and put it in the seats in right field with two outs in the top of the first inning. The Yankees would never trail, because Gregorius ended up doing the same thing again in his next trip to the plate; making it 3-0.

The Indians mounted a spirited rally in the bottom of the fifth, getting the deficit to 3-2. But this was the game that CC Sabathia was born to start.
