You always remember the 50 home run seasons.

The 40-homer seasons kind of blend together. Plenty of guys have done it. But a 50 home run season kind of remains etched in time, forever. Something truly special in the game of baseball.

On Sunday in Miami; Giancarlo Stanton crossed into this foreign territory. He becomes the first player since Chris Davis hit 53 in 2013 to reach the milestone.

And we knew this was going to be this type of season for Stanton. We just knew it. He’s got a little more than a month left to make an assault on 60; which would be insanely cool.
