Big Miguel Sano hits the Disabled List

The Minnesota Twins are certainly a ‘fun’ team. They’re the good-bad team in baseball. They’re tied for the second Wildcard spot int he American League as of press time.

They were dealt a tough blow today, with Miguel Sano hitting the 10-day disabled list with a leg injury.

Sano is one of our favorite players in all of the game. He boasts a .267/.356/.514 slash line with 28 home runs and 77 RBI in 475 plate appearances this season. He’s been the solidifying force in the middle of the lineup at 24 years old.

Now the Twins are going to have to lean on guys like Byron Buxton (he’s been on fire) and Eddie Rosario (he hit a grand slam today, and look at his numbers over the last thirty days) to remain in things. But most likely, this is the death blow to the Twinkies upstart and encouraging season if Sano doesn’t get back in a hurry.

Things like this are no good for baseball.
